Day 10 : It's Role Play time !

9th August 2018

Today is my 10th day in Surigao, and I’ll not going to do my actual teaching yet. Because maam Ariar still have her topic to be discussed. So, what I’m going to do for today is become her assistant. As always, my day is started with flag ceremonies in front of the senior high school building. The sun still giving the same light as yesterday, still bright and kinda hot.

Since the entrepreneur class started at 15.30, this morning I’ll continue my journey with observing maam Ariar’s first class which is the ABM 1 for Marketing subject. As usual, I’ll sit at the back of the class with other students and observe how maam Ariar teach her students, what kind of method that she use and how she manage her class. From my observation, I learned about the group activities, how to conduct it, how many duration for preparation and presentation.

Now is 10.20 PM, it’s time for me to say goodbye to ABM 1 and go back to the dorm. When I go back to the dorm, I heard some stories from my friends about their actual teaching experience. It was fun to hear their experience but at the same time I also feel nervous because I haven’t start my actual teaching.

Time is clicking and showing that now it’s 15.00 PM . Then I prepared my self for being teaching assistant of maam Ariar. I pray first, then I go to Senior High School building to meet maam Ariar first. And now it’s show time! My first time to go to entrepreneur class as teacher’s assistant.

Today maam Ariar will give a group assignment to her students, the assignment is role play, each group already have their own topic to be display in role play. All I have to do is helping maam Ariar to give score for the student’s performance. It was a fun activity, at the same time the students learn how to be an entrepreneur in practical way but we learn it in a different way, some of the students playing really good with their character in role play and make us (maam Ariar, me and other students) are laugh together because of their acting.
