Day 28 : The Day of Cultural Night

It’s D-day ! D-day for cultural night! Everythings run normally until it’s 4 PM, we’re start getting busy cause we have to prepare for everything, the dress, make up, hijab ,etc. Luckily Benny from UPGRIS and Indri from UNP bring their make up tools. So they help us to do the make up. And here we are, 11 Indonesian students ready to rock cultural night ! But, before we’re go out from our dormitory to cultural night, we pray together and did this…

So, the cultural night started with a speech from the Vice President, sister Nicole as my coordinator and sister Theresa as the new principal. Then we’re entertained by dance performance from Saint Paul’s students. One of the dancers is Jefri, our beloved buddy. We’re really entertained by their performance. Then the cultural night continue with a speech from the representative of cooperating teacher, junior high school student ,senior high school student, and from each Indonesia’s universities who’s in Saint Paul. And I was shocked that the one who’s being the representative speech from senior high school students is my student ! and the most beautiful part for me is when maam Ariar gave her speech as the representative from cooperating teacher and at the end of her speech she played this video from my students in ABM 1 which directly leave a lot of tears on my face , thank you very much ABM 1, mahal kita !

Then the third dance performed by me, Enggang bird dance. And the last dance performance by UPGRIS and UMPO’s girls, it’s mixed dance from Betawi, Java, and Aceh. Last performance, we sang Tanah Airku. It was an epic moment where I feel deeply madly in love with my own country, I’ve never feel like this before!
